| The
Norwegian Business Association, Shanghai
Region (NBA) was established in June 2001,
on the initiative of Norwegian companies
and individuals doing business in China.
The Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai
supported the initiative, and the close
cooperation with the Consulate General is
considered a valuable contribution to the
development and success of NBA.
In spite of NBA`s short
history, the association has proven to be
well received by the members. The number
of members continues to grow, and they are
actively participating in making the association
becoming an active forum in the interest
of its members. The Norwegian business environment
and activities in the region is relatively
small, and very diversified, and the NBA
will actively contribute to bridge the various
challenges and difficulties experienced
by its members in connection with their
activities. NBA will also gladly share some
of its diversified experience and know-how
gained, with Norwegian companies being in
the process of setting up businesses in
China.
