The purpose of NBA is to be an active forum for Norwegian companies and business people where they can exchange experience and draw knowledge about business-related issues in China in general, and in the Shanghai region in particular.

The objectives of NBA are:

 To provide a forum for companies, of whatever nationality, with Norwegian Business interests, their executives and      other individual business people. The forum shall identify and discuss matters of common interest affecting economic,      industrial and commercial objectives of its members.

 To raise, discuss and conclude on appropriate issues with the Consulate General on behalf of the members, and      further to act as an advisory board to the Consulate General.

 To co-operate with other appropriate bodies in order to further develop the above mentioned objectives.

 Take an active part in promoting Norwegian business interests in China and Shanghai, to be done in co-operation with      Norwegian Trade Council and the Consulate General in Shanghai when appropriate.

 To provide social activities for its members.

The association holds 8 – 10 meetings every year, including member meetings, workshops/seminars and social gatherings. Each meeting addresses a specific topic, recommended by the members. Expertise is invited to hold an introduction on the topic, followed by discussions in the forum.
The Board and the Executive Officer conducts other services and activities as required
