On May 19th, Wikborg, Rein & Co. and Dezan Shira & Associates provide updates on topics of keen interests to all foreign businesses in China:

Wikborg, Rein & Co.: Status of the new Labor Contract Law; challenges and uncertainties

Ever since the new Employment Contract Law took effect in 2007 and its Implementation Regulations came into force in 2008, labor arbitration cases and workersĄŻ actions have increased dramatically. Further, key questions concerning the new law remain unanswered, leading to uncertainty and lack of predictability for employers. Wikborg, Rein & Co. Dezan Shira & Associates: The RMB 4 trillion stimulus plan; how will it affect you and your business?

Although most businesses are currently experiencing hardship and turmoil, the financial crisis also provides opportunities.
